Chapter one

One traffic light.

Sam grew up in a town with one traffic light, one field and one dream: to make it through football. Every evening he kicked a ball against the grain barn until the whole street knew the sound.

The barn still has the marks.

Chapter two

Captain.

The ball got him a place at the university. His teammates gave him the armband, and then a name: CapSam. Confident, funny, loyal to a fault, and the calmest man on any pitch.

Chapter three

The final.

This season the team made the biggest final in school history. Win it and they qualify to play internationally. Back home, his family, his old coach, his friends and every kid on his street are watching.

One degree. One final. One shot.

Chapter four

The letter.

Then the letter came. Sam is academically ineligible. Unless he completes the requirements for his degree, he cannot play in the final. Without him the team is expected to lose, and the one shot at going international goes with it.

Chapter five

The procrastinator.

On the pitch nothing rattles him. In an exam hall everything does. He has known about this exam for months. He has studied for it for eleven minutes. He was always going to start tomorrow.

Tomorrow is today.

Chapter six

The exam.

He cannot sit this one alone. His town is behind him, his team is behind him, and now so are you. The paper is on the desk. Pick up the pencil.

  • Snipe tax. For the first few seconds after launch, pons adds a snipe tax to buys. It starts at 99% and falls to zero within seconds. It joins the trade fee and is split the same way, so the creator earns from it too.
  • Supply. 1,000,000,000 $DEGREE, all of it in the pons bonding curve at launch. No team allocation and no presale: any $DEGREE the creator holds was bought on the curve, like everyone else's.
  • Graduation. If the curve sells out (4.2 ETH raised), $DEGREE moves to a Uniswap pool whose liquidity is locked for good. That says nothing about value. It only means the curve sold out.
